However, the area of the street trees is now decreasing considerably due to the urban planning, removal and replacement. A study on cost and benefit analysis of maintaining street trees was conducted. The study was conducted at Binh Chanh area by applying a cost-benefit analysis of 79 Delonix regia trees for 33 years, from 2015 to 2047. The results of the study showed that the benefits and costs of the project were 965,219,953,929 VND and 1,631,126,904 VND, respectively. Therefore the project is not only economically feasible with a net profit of VND 963,588,827,025 but also contributes to reducing the environmental pollution of the city with a value of 29,249,089,513 VND per year ER -
